How Raleigh Artist Assignments and Payment Work

This Raleigh opportunity is for independent contractors, not employees. Artists are offered bookings when their services, availability, travel range, portfolio, and professional standards fit a client request.

Booking Review

OnSiteGlam reviews each booking before assignment so the artist understands the service count, location, ready-by time, service type, and expected wedding morning flow.

Payment

Payment is based on the accepted assignment and may vary by service type, booking total, travel needs, artist role, final service count, and whether additional artists are needed. Payment details are confirmed before an artist accepts an assignment.

Tips

Artists keep 100% of client tips. Tips are not guaranteed and depend on the client. Tips are separate from any agreed assignment payment.

What Independent Contractor Means

Independent contractors are self-employed beauty professionals. They are not OnSiteGlam employees, are not guaranteed a set schedule or number of bookings, and are responsible for their own tools, kit, transportation, taxes, insurance, and business expenses unless a written assignment says otherwise.

North Carolina Classification

North Carolina worker classification depends on the actual working relationship and level of control, not just the title used. Artists should review any agreement carefully and ask questions before accepting assignments.

Taxes + 1099

Independent contractors are generally responsible for their own income tax and self-employment tax. If required by law, OnSiteGlam may request a completed W-9 and issue a 1099 for reportable nonemployee compensation.

Important Notice for Raleigh Applicants

This page is general opportunity information, not legal or tax advice. North Carolina and federal classification rules can depend on the full facts of the relationship. Applicants should speak with a tax professional, legal advisor, or appropriate state/federal agency if they have questions about independent contractor status, taxes, benefits, unemployment, workers’ compensation, or business insurance.

Application Process

Raleigh Artist Application Steps

The Raleigh onboarding process helps protect the client experience and make sure artists are a good fit for on-site bridal beauty work.

1. Apply

Submit your contact details, portfolio, service type, travel range, experience, and Raleigh-area availability.

2. Portfolio Review

We review bridal, event, soft glam, hair styling, and client-facing work to understand your strengths.

3. Interview

Qualified artists may be invited to a phone or video interview to discuss expectations and wedding-day standards.

4. Onboarding

Top candidates may move to background paperwork, agreement review, and smaller trial assignments when available.

What should I include in my application?

Include your portfolio or Instagram, service type, location, travel range, years of experience, wedding availability, kit details, and whether you provide hair, makeup, or both.
