How Pay Works

55% Artist Pay Structure

OnSiteGlam Houston artists receive 55% of the approved service revenue assigned to them. OnSiteGlam retains 45% for business operations, booking coordination, marketing, scheduling, payment processing, client communication, contracts, and artist management.

Example Assignment

$750 in Assigned Services

If you personally perform approved services totaling $750:

$412.50

That is your 55% artist share before tips.

If clients leave you $100 in tips, your total would be $512.50.

Important

Your Pay Is Based on the Services You Perform

The artist share is calculated from the approved service revenue assigned to you, not automatically from the entire wedding contract if multiple artists are working the event.

Larger bridal parties can create higher earning opportunities when more services are assigned to you.

Tips & Payments

Weekly Pay + 100% of Tips

100% of Tips

Tips belong to the artist. Tips are separate from the 55% / 45% service split.

Weekly Friday Pay

Approved OnSiteGlam artist payments are processed weekly on Fridays after booking and payment requirements are satisfied.

Complete Onboarding First

Artists should complete all required onboarding and payment information before accepting assignments so payment is not delayed.

Booking Details

What You See Before Accepting an Assignment

Artists should receive enough information to decide whether an opportunity fits their availability, travel limits, skill set, and service timing.

Event Date

The wedding or event date is provided before commitment.

Location

Houston-area hotel, venue, home, bridal suite, or other approved location.

Start + Ready Time

You receive the expected start time and required ready-by time when available.

Service Count

The number and type of services assigned to you are explained before acceptance.

Compensation

Expected artist compensation is communicated based on the assigned services.

Travel + Parking

Relevant travel, parking, toll, or venue access details are explained when applicable.

Parking

Parking & Venue Fees

When a booking requires paid hotel, venue, or garage parking, the assignment instructions will explain how parking is handled.

Artists should keep receipts when reimbursement is required. Do not assume valet or premium parking is automatically reimbursed unless it is approved as part of the assignment.

Travel

Houston Travel Areas

Assignments may take place in Houston, Katy, The Woodlands, Sugar Land, Pearland, Cypress, Spring, League City, Conroe, and nearby wedding markets.

When additional travel compensation applies, it should be communicated before the artist accepts the assignment.

Early Starts

Early-Morning Bridal Assignments

Wedding beauty often begins early. Some assignments may require starts before 6:00 AM. If an approved early-start payment applies, it will be included in the assignment details before you accept the booking.

Before 6 AM

Some bridal mornings require very early arrival based on ceremony, photos, travel, and service count.

Know Before Accepting

You should review the scheduled start time before committing to the assignment.

Extra Compensation

When applicable, approved early-start compensation is explained with the assignment.

Service Timing

Wedding Timeline Expectations

Artists should only accept service counts they can realistically complete within the required wedding timeline.

Makeup Timing

Bridal-party makeup may be scheduled around approximately 45 minutes per client depending on the requested look and artist.

Hair Timing

Bridal-party hair may be scheduled around approximately 45 minutes per client depending on style complexity and hair type.

Bridal Services

Bridal services may require additional time depending on the hair or makeup look, extensions, skin prep, veil placement, and timeline.

Arriving on time, bringing a complete professional kit, maintaining sanitation standards, performing the accepted services, following the confirmed timeline, and providing professional client service.

Booking Opportunities

What Can Increase Your Chances of Being Offered Work?

Strong Bridal Portfolio

Recent bridal-quality work and a professional Instagram or portfolio make artist matching easier.

Weekend Availability

Most weddings take place on weekends and may include early-morning starts.

Reliable Transportation

Houston assignments can require travel to hotels, venues, homes, and bridal suites.

Professional Kit

Artists need a clean, complete, wedding-ready kit and sanitation supplies.

Efficient Timing

Artists who can stay on timeline are easier to place on larger bridal parties.

Hair + Makeup Skills

Hybrid artists may be especially useful when a wedding requires flexibility across hair and makeup services.

Important

No Guaranteed Number of Weddings

Joining the OnSiteGlam artist network does not guarantee a specific number of assignments, hours, clients, or income. Opportunities depend on client demand, market needs, artist availability, location, reliability, service match, portfolio fit, and completion of any required screening or onboarding steps.
